PAssistant Buyer\n\nLocation: Peterborough\nSalary: Up to £32,000\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent\nHours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 4:45pm\n\nAre you an organised and commercially minded procurement professional looking to join a well-established business with exciting growth plans?\n\nOur client is a long-standing, family-owned organisation with an excellent reputation within their specialist sector. Operating within a close-knit and supportive team environment, they are now looking to recruit a Procurement Coordinator to support their growing operations and supply chain activities.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong purchasing experience who enjoys managing supplier relationships, coordinating stock and logistics, and ensuring smooth end-to-end processes from purchasing through to delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage the purchasing process from order placement through to delivery\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key accounts\nNegotiate pricing, lead times, and product availability with suppliers\nMonitor and maintain stock levels to ensure business and customer demands are met\nCoordinate import and export documentation and processes\nAssist with logistics administration, shipping schedules, and delivery coordination\nEnsure quality certificates and compliance documentation are completed accurately\nSupport regulatory and compliance requirements across purchasing activities\nLiaise with internal departments to ensure smooth operational flow\nTrack orders and proactively resolve any supply chain or delivery issues\nMaintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information\nProvide end-to-end administrative support across procurement and supply chain functions\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nPrevious experience within purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain administration\nStrong negotiation and supplier management skills\nExperience within food, seed, produce, or a similar supply-based industry would be highly advantageous\nKnowledge of import/export procedures and logistics administration\nExcellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail\nConfident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships\nProficient in Microsoft Office and internal systems/ERP platforms\nAbility to work effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nOpportunity to join a growing and ambitious business\nSupportive and close-knit team environment\nLong-term career prospects within a reputable organisation\nStable Monday to Friday working hours\nCompetitive salary package up to £32,000\nIf you are an experienced procurement or purchasing professional looking for an opportunity to make a genuine impact within a growing business and play a pivotal role in its future success, we would love to hear from you.\n\nApply today with your CV or contact Interaction Recruitment for more information on (phone number removed)
