Conrad Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading construction and infrastructure consultancy to recruit an experienced South Region Commercial Lead to support the continued growth of their Commercial Management division across the South of England.\n\nThis is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished commercial professional with extensive experience across Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure programmes. The role offers the chance to lead strategically on major capital delivery schemes while helping shape the future growth and direction of a well-established commercial management function.\n\nThe successful candidate will operate as a trusted NEC adviser to major clients, providing senior commercial leadership across complex infrastructure portfolios while driving service excellence, team development and business growth across the Southern region.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs South Region Commercial Lead, you will take responsibility for leading commercial management activities across multiple major infrastructure and energy programmes, overseeing governance, delivery performance and strategic client relationships.\n\nThis is a highly visible, client-facing leadership role offering significant autonomy and long-term progression within a growing consultancy environment.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nLeading commercial management activities across major Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure programmes from strategy through to final account \n\t\nActing as senior NEC adviser to clients and project stakeholders \n\t\nProviding expert guidance across NEC3 and NEC4 contracts \n\t\nEstablishing robust commercial governance frameworks to support programme delivery \n\t\nOverseeing valuations, forecasting, reporting, claims, variations and final accounts \n\t\nProviding senior commercial leadership across multiple commissions and complex delivery programmes \n\t\nBuilding and maintaining trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders \n\t\nLeading, mentoring and developing commercial teams across the Southern region \n\t\nSupporting business development activities including bids, proposals and client presentations \n\t\nDriving continuous improvement and commercial best practice across the wider business \n\t\nSupporting recruitment, capability development and regional growth strategy \n\nRequirements\n\nEssential Experience & Skills\n\nProven track record operating at Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Director level within major infrastructure programmes \n\t\nExcellent NEC contract knowledge and commercial management expertise \n\t\nStrong background within Energy, Utilities or Infrastructure sectors \n\t\nExperience managing complex commercial programmes and senior stakeholder relationships \n\t\nDegree or HNC qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline \n\t\nMRICS qualified or equivalent professional accreditation \n\t\nStrong commercial acumen with a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach \n\t\nComfortable operating within high-profile, client-facing environments \n\t\nExisting industry network and client relationships within infrastructure or utilities sectors \n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nA commercially driven leader with strong strategic judgement \n\t\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills \n\t\nPragmatic, solutions-focused and delivery-oriented mindset \n\t\nPassion for developing teams, capability and long-term client relationships \n\t\nCollaborative leadership style with a professional and credible approach \n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nExecutive-level salary and comprehensive benefits package \n\t\nOpportunity to lead commercially on nationally significant infrastructure and energy programmes \n\t\nDirect exposure to senior clients and strategic decision-makers \n\t\nAbility to shape and influence the growth of the Commercial Management function across the South \n\t\nFlexible and hybrid working arrangements \n\t\nClear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy environment \n\t\nCollaborative, people-focused culture backed by major project exposure
