Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer\n\nLocation: Greater London\n\nSalary: Depending on experince.\n\nRole and Responsibilities\n\n * Design, develop and maintain mechanical systems, components and equipment for commercial, industrial or construction projects.\n\n * Produce detailed engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation using CAD software.\n\n * Carry out calculations, simulations and performance analysis to ensure systems meet operational requirements.\n\n * Collaborate with project managers, architects, electrical engineers and contractors throughout project lifecycles.\n\n * Prepare mechanical designs in line with relevant UK building regulations, industry standards and health & safety legislation.\n\n * Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections and technical assessments for new and existing installations.\n\n * Support the delivery of HVAC, piping, plumbing, ventilation and mechanical plant systems where required.\n\n * Develop cost-effective engineering solutions while maintaining quality, safety and efficiency standards.\n\n * Assist in preparing project programmes, budgets and procurement specifications for mechanical packages.\n\n * Review and approve technical submittals, supplier quotations and contractor proposals.\n\n * Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance.\n\n * Monitor installation works on-site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and programme deadlines.\n\n * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide practical solutions to minimise downtime and project delays.\n\n * Conduct testing, commissioning and validation of mechanical systems and equipment.\n\n * Prepare risk assessments, method statements and maintenance procedures where necessary.\n\n * Ensure all mechanical systems comply with sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental standards.\n\n * Support preventative maintenance strategies and asset management planning.\n\n * Maintain accurate project records, reports and engineering documentation.\n\n * Participate in design reviews, technical meetings and progress updates with internal and external teams.\n\n * Assist junior engineers, apprentices or technicians with technical support and mentoring.\n\n * Stay up to date with new technologies, engineering trends and industry best practices.\n\n * Work closely with procurement teams to source suitable materials, equipment and suppliers.\n\n * Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed throughout design and installation stages.\n\n * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and operational processes.\n\n * Deliver projects within agreed timelines, budgets and performance expectations.\n\nIf you are interested in the role contact me
