Shift Engineer (Electrical Biased)\n Slough\n £52,000 \n\n12hr Shifts - 4on 4off Days & Nights \n\nOur client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. Due to an increase in headcount within their engineering team, they are looking for an experienced electrical biased shift engineer.\n\nRole & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:\n\nTo carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvement and modification or upgrade of plant, fully automated production & packaging machinery and site services.\nSteam & boiler system maintenance\nFollow PPM schedules efficiently & effectively\nElectrical fault finding & modifications of PLC's, HMi's, SCADA Systems and Control Panels\nMechanical repair and fault finding\nWorking on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives, valves\nPLC - electrical fault finding \n\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a Shift Engineer:\n\nMulti-Skilled Engineer - but must be electrically biased\nNVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering - Time-served Apprenticeship\nExcellent problem solving & fault diagnosis skills\nKnowledge of production environment, continuous improvements & development\nBoth strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and repair skills\nMust have worked in fast-paced environment - FMCG manufacturing/production\nHave experience of working on boilers & steam systems advantageous\nWorked on PLC systems, Control Panels, HMi's & SCADA Systems\nBonus if have 17th / 18th Edition \n\nIf you do not get a response back on your application within 24-48 hours please presume you are unsuccessful.\n\nIf you are interested in this position please click 'apply'.\n\nHunter Selection Limited is a recruitment consultancy with offices UK wide, specialising in permanent & contract roles within Engineering & Manufacturing, IT & Digital, Science & Technology and Service & Sales sectors.\n\nPlease note as we receive a high level of applications we can only respond to applicants whose skills & qualifications are suitable for this position.
