Supply Teaching Assistant – Grimsby
Location: Primary schools across Grimsby and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible supply (full-time and part-time options available)
Pay: £92–£100 per day (dependent on experience, school, and assignment)
About the Role
We are looking for dependable and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support a range of primary schools in and around Grimsby. This position is perfect for those who value flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s learning and development.
Working on a supply basis means you can enjoy a mix of short-term, long-term, full-day, and part-day assignments, tailored to your availability.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities
- Support whole-class learning, small groups, and differentiated tasks
- Help prepare teaching materials and maintain an engaging learning environment
- Provide general supervision and pastoral support to pupils
One-to-One Support
- Work closely with pupils with additional needs (SEND)
- Deliver targeted interventions under teacher or SENCO guidance
- Help pupils access the curriculum and build confidence
Behaviour Support
- Promote positive behaviour and uphold school policies
- Apply consistent behaviour management strategies
- Provide calm, nurturing support to pupils
- Support emotional wellbeing and regulation
Flexibility & Adaptability
- Work across different key stages (EYFS, KS1, KS2)
- Adapt quickly to new classroom settings and routines
- Be available for both pre-booked work and last-minute cover
- Maintain clear communication with school staff and your Reed consultant
