We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. \n\nSummary of the Transport Planner role \n\nSalary: Competitive\nLocation: Bedford\nType of Contract: Permanent  \nHours: Monday – Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings \n\nResponsibilities of the Transport Planner\n\nPlan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods with excellent nationwide knowledge of road networks\nHelp build runs for the general drivers\nPrint and collate all driver’s paperwork\nEnsure drivers remain compliant\nCollaborate with internal teams\nMonitor and track drivers to ensure on-time delivery\nMaintain accurate records\nCommunicate with drivers, carriers and customers to address any issues or concerns  \nRequirements for a successful Transport Planner\n\nStrong communication skills customer service skills\n Strong geographical knowledge\n Strong interest in transport planning and a willingness to develop knowledge in the field\n Ability to be flexible\n Good problem-solving skills\n Full driving license with own transport is advantageous\nAbout Allstaff Recruitment\n\nWe’re an independent recruitment specialist based in Bedfordshire, supporting businesses across Bedford, Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas.
